Built in 1946 by 'Porky' Nelson, the Inn was first a dance hall and saloon frequented by commercial fishermen and loggers. Much of the original maple flooring remains, which adds to the simple home-like setting created in each of the uniquely-decorated rooms.
You can choose from two types of lodging: the Inn itself has four rooms, (two with kitchens) and there is also a two-room cabin.
The Inn is open year-round and is located just 14 miles northeast of Two Harbors on Highway 61 next to Gooseberry State Park on Lake Superior's beautiful North Shore.
Innkeepers Bryce and Judy Gregerson invite you to visit and enjoy all the beauty and adventure
the North Shore provides. We offer our lodging as a jumping-off point to the excitement and relaxation a few days or an extended vacation will be sure to bring.
